BMW M5/M6 2011>Present
Upgraded ECU software for the BMW M5/M6 is programmed through the OBD2 diagnostic port resulting in a noticeable increase in throttle response and power. Various enhancements include Vanos and turbo efficiency re-calibration.
This calibration was scientifically tested and measured on a Mustang MD500-AWD chassis dyno using 91 octane. The top speed limiter was removed on certain models and combined with refined ignition, fuel and camshaft calibration.
Factory torque management has increased in complexity compared to prior generations of BMW software. Hex Tuning engineers understanding of the true design parameters and function rules allow them to measure the smoothness and transitioning of power (drivers torque request). This stage 1 software upgrade is considered a conservative upgrade and a precursor to greater levels of power to come. Software stages are eligible for a credit towards the next stage of power when available.
The software is a reversible electronic flash and does not use any hardware devices. Worldwide model M5 and M6s are applicable.
This product is not compliant with the California Air Resource Board and not for use on public roads in California.This applies to any aftermarket product that does not display a CARB EO#. Power ratings are subject to conditions and dynomometer model used.
